Fourth Congress on Maintenance

The First Congress attracted over a thousand attendees from more than 40 countries and received much praise from all attendees. A suggestion that the congress will be held by applicant countries every two years in turn reached consensus. The Second Congress was held in Kuratina, Brazil, with over a thousand participants from about 50 countries. The Third Congress was held in Basel ¨C Switzerland in June 2006, when China was officially accepted as one of member countries of the Congress. With the theme ¡°Maintenance in China¡±, China Association of Plant Engineering presented its achievements in the area of facility management and equipment maintenance in the exhibition, which was well received and appreciated by the member countries. Many countries including China, Dubai, South Africa, and India applied for hosting The Fourth Congress. A census was reached from all countries. Finally, Mr. Walt, the chairperson of the Congress, officially informed CAPE that China would be the host for the Fourth Congress on Maintenance.
