Date: 09/17/2008 - 09/18/2008
Time: 08:00 am - 04:30 pm
This workshop teaches individuals and groups how to analyze, document, communicate and solve problems effectively. Cause Mapping is an extremely effective “systems thinking” approach to root cause analysis that significantly improves communication in group problem solving by using a simple 3-step process that can be learned by anyone at any level in an organization. The Cause Map allows groups to easily capture the specific causes of a problem and make that information available throughout an organization.
In this workshop you will learn how to:
1. Analyze problems thoroughly and effectively
2. Be more effective in a group or with a team when solving problems
3. Communicate complex issues visually and verbally
4. Remove the emotion, opinion and speculation from problem solving
5. Take a process/systems view of managing your operations
6. Anticipate problems to prevent them from occurring
7. Frame each problem as an opportunity to learn and improve
8. Outline every problem in the context of the overall goals
9. Prioritize problems quicker and more objectively
